Mistakes
When players fail certain Skills or Reactions, they may make a Mistake.
Mistakes can be harmless, pull players out of position, or even earn the ire of the referee and result in a foul.
When your player makes a Mistake, roll a single D20 and compare the result to the Mistake chart below.
| Roll | Offensive | Defensive |
| 17-20 | Nothing Happens | Nothing Happens |
| 12-16 | -1 Second | Move 1 hex |
| 7-11 | -1 Second Move 1 Hex | Half Move |
| 1-6 | Foul | Foul |
If the result causes you to move your player, the direction of that movement is controlled by the opposing coach.
Fouls
If the result causes you to commit a Foul, the possession comes to an end, and you should record foul on a piece of paper or with a counter on the player’s profile card.
If the foul occurred on a Shot attempt, the ball handler takes a Free Throw by making a single Open Shot attempt, with +2 to their MID stat. Otherwise, treat it as a dead ball.
Once a team has accumulated 5 total fouls across their players, all fouls committed by that team result in 2 free throws for the opponent.
Once a single player has accumulated 3 fouls, they receive a negative Status at random. Roll a D6:
- (1-2) Distracted
- (3-4) Traffic Cone
- (5-6) Ice Cold
